Fighting with My Family 2: The Main Event (2026)

Posted on April 1, 2026

The dream was only the beginning. Staying at the top? That’s where the real fight starts.

Achieving a dream is one thing; surviving it is another. Fighting with My Family 2: The Main Event returns to the high-octane world of professional wrestling, picking up where the underdog story left off to explore the heavy price of success. Paige (Florence Pugh) is no longer the girl chasing a spotlight—she is the woman carrying the entire WWE women’s division on her shoulders. Pugh returns to the role with a masterful blend of fiery charisma and vulnerability, capturing the grueling reality of life as a champion. Between the endless travel, the physical wreckage of the ring, and the suffocating pressure of global fame, the “glittering spectacle” of superstardom is beginning to take a bruising emotional toll.

Across the Atlantic, the narrative shifts its focus to a transformed Zak (Jack Lowden). No longer the “disappointed dreamer” sidelined by his own ambitions, Zak has evolved into a powerful, commanding leader of the family’s grassroots promotion in Norwich. He is the guardian of the Knight legacy, but that legacy is facing an existential crisis. A predatory, deep-pocketed sports entertainment conglomerate has moved into the UK market, intent on a hostile takeover of independent wrestling. This isn’t just a business rivalry; it’s a war for the soul of the sport, forcing Zak to become a fiercely protective promoter fighting to keep his family’s ringside lights from being extinguished forever.

When the corporate giants attempt to forcefully buy out their local promotion, these two worlds collide in spectacular fashion. The eccentric and beloved Knight parents, Ricky (Nick Frost) and Julia (Lena Headey), dive headfirst into the fray, injecting their signature brand of chaotic energy and foul-mouthed resilience into the resistance. Meanwhile, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the cynical yet sharp Hutch Morgan (Vince Vaughn) return to offer the tough love and high-stakes perspective that only industry veterans can provide.

To save her family’s heritage, Paige must make the ultimate gamble: risking her hard-won WWE standing to return to the dusty bingo halls where she started. Together, the Knights aim to produce “The Main Event”—the largest, wildest, and most unapologetic independent wrestling showcase in history. Packed with outrageous family dysfunction, heart-pumping choreography, and genuine emotional warmth, this sequel delivers a “suplex of laughs and tears.” It serves as a powerful reminder that in an unpredictable industry, whether you’re performing in a sold-out stadium or a local community center, the only bond that never breaks is family. In the world of the Knights, you never tap out on blood.
