Ciara and Russell Wilson announced Sunday that they are expecting their fifth child together, confirming a pregnancy that Wilson had been publicly campaigning for over the past year, according to multiple outlets including Rolling Out and Heavy.
The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post featuring a video of Ciara hanging white T-shirts on a clothesline, each representing a member of their family, before revealing a blank baby onesie for the newest addition. “One more person to Love,” the couple captioned the post, accompanied by a raised-hand emoji representing baby No. 5. Wilson added his own comment celebrating the moment: “Baby Cinco!”

The baby will be Ciara’s fifth child overall and her fourth with Wilson, according to Rolling Out. The couple currently has three children together — daughter Sienna Princess, 9; son Win Harrison, 6; and daughter Amora Princess, 2 — along with Ciara’s eldest son, Future Zahir, 12, from her previous relationship with rapper Future. The new baby will bring the Wilson household to seven members total.
The pregnancy comes after Wilson had spent much of the past year publicly advocating for a fifth child. At a Grammy Museum event last September, he asked Ciara, “When is cinco coming?” and in a July interview with E! News at Fanatics Fest, he said, “We have four amazing kids, and I’m trying to convince Ciara to have a fifth. Cinco, you got to be on the way soon.” Ciara has previously responded to the requests with humor, telling Us Weekly at one point that her husband’s timeline felt “disrespectful” before laughing and telling him to “slow down, sir.”
The announcement arrives during a significant personal transition for Wilson, who retired earlier this year after 14 seasons in the NFL. No due date or the baby’s sex has been disclosed.
